What I can build for you

Four things I take on outside my day job. Something close to one of them? Just ask.

Business websites

A site that explains what you do and turns visitors into enquiries. Built fast, structured for search, and simple enough that you can update it yourself.

  • Landing pages and multi-page sites
  • Local SEO groundwork
  • Contact and booking flows
  • Hand-built, no page builder

Web applications

When a website is not enough: people log in, data is stored, and something happens with it. Bookings, orders, a members' area, an internal tool that replaces a spreadsheet. I have taken one of those from an empty folder to a running server, on my own.

  • Accounts, logins and password resets
  • Your data kept safe, and yours to export
  • A panel where you see what is going on
  • Email that goes out on its own

Interactive invitations

Weddings and events, as a web page instead of card stock: your story, the schedule, directions, RSVP straight to your inbox, and something playable if you want guests to remember it.

  • Personalised one-page invitation
  • RSVP form and guest list
  • Photo uploads from guests
  • Optional custom mini game

Support & maintenance

The part most people skip. Hosting, updates, backups, broken forms, the thing that stopped working last Tuesday. That is my day job, five days a week.

  • Hosting and domain setup
  • Updates, backups and monitoring
  • Bug triage and fixes
  • Performance and accessibility passes

How working together looks

No agency layers. You talk to the person writing the code, from the first message to the site being live.

  1. You tell me what you need

One email is enough to start. What the thing has to do, roughly when you need it, and whether there is a budget in mind.

    1
  2. I come back with a plan and a price

Scope, what is in and what is out, a timeline and a fixed price. If I am not the right fit, I say so at this point rather than later.

    2
  3. You see it as it is built

Work goes up on a preview link you can open any time. Feedback along the way costs nothing; feedback after launch costs a rebuild.

    3
  4. It goes live, and stays live

Domain, hosting and deployment handled. Afterwards you can keep me on for updates and fixes, or take the keys and run it yourself.

Questions

Things worth asking before you write

The answers I would want if I were the one hiring.

  • Who owns the code and the design?

You do, once the work is paid for. The repository, the design files, the domain and the hosting account all end up in your name. Nothing is licensed back to me and nothing stops working if we part ways.

  • Do you invoice?

Yes, for every job, and for maintenance monthly. Payment is usually split: part when we agree the scope, the rest when the site goes live.

  • How long does it take?

A one-page site is a week or two, a business site three to five, an application counts in months. The scope picker above turns whatever you tick into a rough range, and the real timeline comes with the quote.

  • Can I update the content myself afterwards?

That is the point. Whatever changes often, prices, posts, photos, gets a way to edit it without touching code, and you get a walkthrough of it before launch. You should never have to pay someone to publish a post.

  • What about hosting and the domain?

I set both up and deploy to them, on your account so the bills and the control stay yours. If you already have hosting, I work with what is there, as long as it can run the thing.

  • What if I do not like the design?

You see it while it is being built, on a preview link, not at the end as a surprise. Changes along the way are part of the price. If we are heading somewhere you do not like, that is the moment to say so, and it costs nothing to turn around.

  • You have a full-time job. What if something breaks?

Write and you get an answer within a day. Anything that takes the site down I look at the same evening; the rest waits for the weekend. I say this plainly because a one-person operation should: if you need somebody on call at three in the morning, you need an agency, not me.

Let's build something together

Got something in mind? Even half an idea is enough to start a conversation. Every message gets an answer, even when the honest answer is that someone else suits it better.

An answer within 24 hours, with a first estimate and how I would approach it.
